Digverso
Privacy Policy
Updated on October 17, 2026
This is a translation for convenience. The original policy, in Portuguese, is the one that applies: digverso.com.br/privacidade.
The essentials
Digverso is used by children at school and at home. It doesn't ask anyone for their name, age, photo, email or location.
The camera is used to recognize the printed drawing. No camera image ever leaves the device: recognition happens locally, and no photos are sent to any server.
At school, what leaves the device is information about how the app is used (how many cards were scanned, how long the session lasted), linked to the class, not to the child. At home, without a class code, our server receives only anonymous counters, with no device identifier at all.
The subscription for home use is bought and charged through the App Store or Google Play. We don't receive any payment data.
We don't show ads, we don't use the advertising identifier, and we don't sell or share data with third parties for marketing.
Who is responsible for the data
The controller of the data processed by the app is DIGVERSO LTDA, registered in Brazil under CNPJ no. 40.436.745/0001-12, based in São José da Lagoa Tapada, Paraíba, Brazil. For anything related to this policy, including the requests provided for in Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and in the data protection laws of other countries, write to contato@digverso.com.br.
How access to the app works
The app has no student, teacher or family accounts. There are three ways to use it:
- With the school code: an access code given to the school, which identifies the class and the school, never a person.
- With the Digverso at Home subscription: bought in the device's app store, with no Digverso account.
- With neither: some drawings are free and open for anyone.
The school code is the same for the whole class team: there is no individual password, and nothing in the app asks who is using it. The code is registered in our dashboard by a teacher at the school, and usage events are associated with the class, the school and that registration, but no record says which child or which adult had the device at any given moment.
The camera
Digverso is an augmented reality app: the child colors a drawing on paper and the app brings that drawing to life on the screen. To do that, it needs the camera.
The drawing is recognized entirely inside the device, by comparing what the camera sees with a catalog stored on the device itself. No image is sent to a server, there is no cloud recognition, and nothing the camera captures is recorded or transmitted.
The app asks for camera permission before using it, and explains why. If permission is denied, the app keeps working; only the augmented reality part becomes unavailable.
The Digverso at Home subscription
The subscription is optional and meant for home use. Purchase, billing, renewal and cancellation are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), in the device's store account. Digverso does not receive card numbers, names, emails or any other payment data.
The store only tells the app whether the account on that device has an active subscription and until when it is valid. That date is stored on the device itself, so the drawings keep opening without internet for a few days.
Subscribing, managing the subscription and any button that leads out of the app sit behind a question that only an adult can answer, so a child can't buy anything or leave the app by accident.
What the app sends to our server
With the school code, the app sends usage events, so that the school and we know whether it is being used and whether it is working. Each event carries:
- What happened: opening the app, a scanned card, a finished coloring, the end of a session, and the time associated with each.
- The class and the school: obtained from the access code, not typed in by the child.
- A device identifier: derived from the identifier the system gives the app and stored on the device itself. It keeps us from counting the same device twice. It is not the system's advertising identifier, it doesn't follow the person across apps, and it is not used for advertising.
- Technical device data: model, operating system and app version, to diagnose compatibility problems.
- Error reports: when something fails, we send the technical message about the failure so we can fix it.
Without the school code (at home), the app does not send these events. It only sends anonymous daily counters (how many times, on that day, the drawings list was opened, the subscription screen was seen, a purchase was completed or an error happened, for example), together with the app version and the system (Android or iOS). These counters carry no device identifier and no error content, and they help us understand, overall, whether Digverso at Home works.
The drawings are downloaded from our cloud storage, and the pages to print open on our website. These are ordinary internet requests: as with any website, the device's network address is visible to the provider that delivers the file.
What the app does not collect
- Children's first name, last name, age, date of birth or email.
- Photos, videos or audio, from neither the camera nor the microphone.
- Location, at any level of precision.
- Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android).
- Payment data.
- Contacts, calendar, files or any other content on the device.
Why we process this data
We use the usage information for four things, and nothing else: keeping the app working and fixing failures; showing the school how the material is being used in its classes; knowing whether the subscription is active, to unlock the home drawings; and understanding which content works best, to produce new content.
We do this to fulfill the contract with the school or with the subscriber, and in our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the app, always in the best interest of the child, as required by article 14 of Brazil's General Data Protection Law, and only with the minimum necessary.
We don't build behavioral profiles, we don't target ads, and we don't make automated decisions about anyone.
Who we share it with
With the contracting school, and only about its own classes.
With providers that make the app work, who process the data under our instructions and only to provide their service to us:
- Apple and Google: the stores, which sell, charge for and manage the subscription, under their own privacy policies.
- Cloud providers that host our server, the database, the drawings and the website.
- PTC (Vuforia): the drawing recognition technology. Recognition happens on the device; the component may send PTC technical information about how it runs, such as the device model and the system version, never camera images.
- Unity: the engine the app is built with. Unity's analytics, crash reporting and performance reporting services are turned off; the engine may send Unity technical information about the device, such as the model, the system and the graphics capability, never camera images or the advertising identifier.
The purchase library the app uses (Unity In-App Purchasing) is configured not to send usage data to Unity: it only talks to the device's store.
We don't sell data, we don't hand it over for advertising, and we don't use it in any third-party behavioral analysis program.
Where the data is kept
Our server and database are in Brazil. The drawings are kept in Google's cloud storage, and some of the providers listed above (Apple, Google, PTC and Unity) may process data in other countries, such as the United States.
If you use the app outside Brazil, your data is processed in Brazil and in those countries. These transfers are made with providers that adopt the data protection safeguards required by Brazil's General Data Protection Law and, for people in the European Union or the United Kingdom, by the GDPR.
Security
Everything the app and the website send travels encrypted (HTTPS). The dashboard with the schools' data only opens with an administrator's email and password, and each school device's access stops working when the class code is deactivated.
If a security incident happens that could put anyone at risk, we notify the schools involved and the data protection authority, as the law requires.
How long we keep it
The school's usage events are kept for as long as the contract with the school lasts and for up to 12 months after it ends. After that, they are deleted or added up into totals that cannot be traced back to a device.
The anonymous home counters don't identify anyone and may be kept with no time limit.
If you write to us through the help button, we receive the sender's email and the message, and use them only to reply. The conversation is deleted within 2 years of the last contact.
If you fill in the contact form on our website, we receive the name, email, WhatsApp number, role, institution and city you provide, and use them only to reply and to talk about Digverso at your school or school network. If the conversation doesn't lead to a contract, this data is deleted within 2 years of the last contact. To ask for it to be deleted sooner, write to contato@digverso.com.br.
Children
This app was made to be used by children, at school or at home, under an adult's supervision. It was designed from the start not to need to know who the child is, which is why it uses the class code and the store subscription instead of individual accounts.
There is no chat, no content posted by other users and no advertising. The only purchase is the optional subscription for home use, always behind the question for adults.
At home, the app collects no personal information from the child: the counters are anonymous and nothing links them to the child or to the device. At school, the school authorizes the use, on behalf of the families and only for school use, and the usage data belongs to the class, not to each child.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a child sends us personal information (by writing through the help button, for example), we delete it as soon as we notice. Parents and guardians can write to us at any time, at contato@digverso.com.br, to find out what we hold and to ask for it to be deleted.
Explained for children: Digverso doesn't know who you are. The camera only looks at the drawing, and no photo ever leaves the phone. If anything seems strange, call a grown-up.
Your rights
Brazil's General Data Protection Law gives you the right to ask for confirmation that we process data, access to it, correction of anything incomplete or wrong, anonymization or deletion, portability, and information about whom we share it with, as well as to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, write to contato@digverso.com.br. We reply within 15 days.
If you live outside Brazil, the rights granted by the law of your country also apply, such as those under the GDPR in the European Union and the United Kingdom (access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability) and parents' rights under COPPA in the United States. You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Brazil, the ANPD; elsewhere, the one in your country.
To cancel the subscription, use the subscription settings of the App Store or Google Play; the app's "Manage subscription" button takes you there.
Changes to this policy
If we change what the app collects, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. Relevant changes will be communicated to contracting schools and shown in the app. If a change would make the app start collecting personal information from children, we will ask for a parent's or guardian's consent first.
